Value Stream Mapping

Introduction:

From the tool kit for lean enterprise comes Value Stream Mapping - a management technique for identifying and removing waste along the entire value stream from raw materials to end customer. The Value Stream Map (VSM) is a flow chart that uses special symbols that are known as "the language of Lean" to depict and improve the flow of inventory and the information that affects the flow of inventory. This map helps visualize complex manufacturing or business systems, identify waste and guide improvement efforts.

Participants in this two-day course will gain knowledge of the principles behind Value Stream Mapping, and methodology and techniques to apply their new knowledge to actual processes and value streams in their own workplace.
