Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) |
Introduction:
In the past Chrysler, Ford and General Motors each had their own procedures for reviewing supplier submissions of production parts for customer approval (initial samples). Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) is the standardized procedure for use by suppliers in the submission of production parts for approval to any of these companies.
This program takes attendees through the six phase approach in order to produce control plans for prototype, pre-launch and production.

- Detailed introduction to Advanced Product Quality Planning
- Explanation of relationship among key APQP deliverables
- Identify APQP steps and corresponding milestones including:
- Submission and specific requirements for part approval
- Records and sample retention
- Part submission status
- Examples of part-submission warrants and associated forms
- Practical applications of APQP taught through use of classroom exercises and workshops

- Personnel on TS 16949 cross-functional teams.
- Design and quality engineers.
