Sezer M. Soylemez Executive Consultant Sezer M. Soylemez, Ph.D., co-founder of EuroQuest, possesses 35 years of Information Technology (IT) management experience including fifteen years of quality system standards consultation, facilitation and implementation. Dr. Soylemez began his career as a systems programmer for a major computer manufacturer. While serving as Scientific-Atlanta’s Vice President and CIO from 1981 through 1990, Dr Soylemez planned and directed the Company’s information systems modernization and business process re-engineering (BPR) program. The objectives of the program were to build a world-class, intra-company international communications network spanning five continents and supporting 3,000 users; re-engineering and upgrading the Company’s engineering design business processes; and streamlining operations in the Company’s sales, manufacturing and finance departments. The management, organizational and business improvements, directed by Dr. Soylemez, resulted in Scientfic-Atlanta tripling employee productivity, improving product quality and increasing customer satisfaction levels. In 1992, Dr. Soylemez founded EuroQuest and, acting as managing principal, he has worked with over 250 companies to help them achieve an ISO-based registration. As a TickIT auditor for software quality assurance, he has particularly addressed his attentions to service companies, including twenty-one divisions of Lockwood Greene Engineers where he helped define their best practices and align their business processes to ISO 9001, JA Jones Construction Company, Maritz Marketing Research Company (15 divisions), and CITI, a contract programming company. He has served as software quality consultant for over thirty multi-million dollar software development projects. A n integral part of Dr. Soylemez’s experience is in assisting companies to understand and take action to mitigate corporate risks. Process analysis, risk identification and assessment, and how to manage these risks is part of the service he provides - EuroQuest’s environmental clients through ISO 14001 the environmental standard, and IT clients through the Information Security Standard, ISO 27001. Dr. Soylemez’s specific experience includes both implementation and system maintenance and auditing at the following locations:
Dr. Soylemez is an IRCA-accredited ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor (Certification #: 1183638 IRCA QMS 2000). He holds a Doctorate in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Science degree in Operations Research for the Wharton School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is also a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Executive Education Program. |
