Over 40 years of experience in environmental consulting, remediation, pollution prevention, environmental/OHSAS management systems, training, instruction and registration in 45 states in the U.S. and numerous countries. Clients include industrial, waste management, utilities, DOE, DOD, EPA and municipal entities. Have served as principal investigator, project manager, project director, director, president and served on the board of directors of numerous for profit and non-profit companies. Have conducted over 100 pollution prevention programs, 300 EMS/OHSAS registrations and provided broad based EMS/OHSAS consulting services to over 60 industrial and governmental clients.

Morehead State University Ecology Ph.D. Florida State University 1968 Oceanography Virginia Tech. 1970 Water Quality Control Work Experience 1970-1973- Graduate Faculty – Virginia Comonwealth University Water quality control and environmental impact statements and assessments including work at Radford Arsenal, numerous fossil fuel and nuclear facilities. 1974-1987- Dames and Moore Consultants Project manager and Director for numerous environmental assessments, compliance assessments and remediation projects at industrial, DOE and DOD facilities throughout the U.S. 1988-1995- Shield Environmental, SPATCO Environmental , Hatcher Sayre Project Director for CERCLA and RCRA remediation projects for industrial and waste management facilities throughout the southeast U.S. 1995-2000- Concurrent Technologies, Corporation (DOD contractor) Directed ISO14001 and EMS and pollution prevention programs for numerous DOE/DOD/industrial facilities including training and instructional programs. Specific EMS experience with DOD includes EPA/DOD ISO14001 pilot group training. 1997-2002- President- American Quality Assessors; An international ISO registrar certifying management system standards for quality, EMS, aerospace and automotive. DOD experience includes registering Red River, Blount Island Command and other facilities to a management system. 2002-Current- Lead auditor ISO 14001; EuroQuest and American Quality Assessors Conducted over 300 EMS registrations for industrial and governmental facilities throughout the U.S. Provided EMS and OSHAS consulting services for over 60 small to mid-size and large industrial and governmental clients throughout the U.S., Mexico and Canada including Siemens Energy and Automation, Blount Island Command Marine operations, etc. EMS/OHSAS consulting included manual preparation, environmental aspects and risks/significant aspects and environmental program determination, legal and other reviews, work instruction preparation and training, internal auditing, internal auditing training, management review participation and management training, document reviews and approvals, etc. |
